Geeky Overdose

fuckyeah-wolverine:

So I’ve mentioned before how much I love Daniel Acuña’s art. I decided to post these scans from Wolverine #8 which is written by Jason Aaron because a friend  mentioned the first scan in particular and decided to add the second because I’m thoroughly amused by the “X-men I’ve had sex with” and “How I cheat and cards” doors.

Small summary: Inside Wolverine’s mind, Wolverine battles the demons that have possessed him, with the assistance of close friends Melita Garner, Shadowcat, Rogue, Jubilee, Emma Frost, Nightcrawler and Jean Grey. Outside, the remaining X-Men try to hold Wolverine’s possessed and rampaging body at bay without killing him until their allies inside his mind can be evacuated. In the midst of the battle inside Wolverine, his living allies get to explore regions of his mind that expose secrets concerning women he’s had sexual fantasies about, X-Men he’s had sex with, how he cheats at cards and, in actual seriousness, some of his hopes and dreams. (Small Summary Source: Comicvine, because I didn’t feel like typing  the summary out.)

So, it’s no shock that when Emma opens the door to Logan’s “Sexual fantasies,” that she finds herself, Mystique, Squirrel girl, Spiral, and Jewel in there. (Spiral? Well, we all know why she’s in there. Also, Jewel? Careful on that one Logan. Regret opening the door yet, Emma?)

Melita approaches the door “Hopes and dreams” and hears “I love you Logan” The rest explains it self when she hears “I always knew we’d be together” and “So did I Jeanie” and Melita has to note to herself not to look behind any more doors. (Don’t blame you.)

Then we see Kitty who is approaching “Reasons I hate myself” and “Secrets of Weapon X” and she says, “Oh Logan, God help you.”  (That’s really sad.)

As the door to “X-men I’ve had sex with” is opened, Jubilee states “Ok… That’s definitely not what the Danger Room was meant for.” (We love you so much Jubilee.)

Then we come to Rogue who is opening the “How I cheat at cards” door and says “I knew it!!!” (What? We don’t get to know?) The last one made me laugh a good deal.

All and all, I really enjoyed this issue because it had a bunch of good moments to it. If you don’t have it already, pick it up!

This is one of my favorite comic moments ever. XD
